Feasibility Studies of the proposed Nuyakuk Hydroelectric project are open for comment.

In the summer of 2023, Nushagak Cooperative completed the first of two summer study seasons for their proposed Nuyakuk Hydro-Electric project. In December 2023, the Cooperative submitted an initial study report to the licensing agency, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), describing the results of the first study season. This kicked off a public comment period to give the public opportunity to weigh in on the studies moving forward into the second and final study season in the summer of 2024.
